Project Manager for Faculty and Departmental DEIBJ initiatives
How long have you been at Berkeley?
I’ve been at UC Berkeley for a little over a year now.
What do you love most about working here?
I absolutely love the people that I work with! I feel so lucky to be part of a team that truly values our full humanity. Whether it’s sharing Spotify playlists or unpacking national headlines, there’s always space for joy, care, and mutual support.
What's your job?
As a project manager for Faculty and Departmental Initiatives, I support a range of academic transformation initiatives and projects including supporting groups like Faculty Equity Advisors and Academic Chief Diversity Officers, co-planning the Teaching and Working in Troubled Times series, or managing the Chancellor’s Award for Advancing Institutional Excellence and Equity.
What's a great day at work look like for you?
Any day I get to bring faculty and staff together across campus is a great day. I love creating spaces to talk about the challenges we face, strategize collectively, share resources, celebrate the wins, and support one another in building thriving academic environments.
Where's your favorite place on campus?
I once stumbled onto the 2nd floor of the I-House during a daylong institute and discovered a balcony with stunning views of the SF Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. When I can make that hike across campus, I love to start my day there with a coffee from the cafe downstairs.
Fun fact about me:
About 10 years ago, I took my first international trip to Wuhan, China, and I’ve had the travel bug ever since. I have now visited over 14 countries across five continents. If you have any travel recommendations, please let me know!
