Amy Scharf (she/her) has more than 20 years experience in educational equity and diversity leadership. She currently serves as UC Berkeley's Director of Faculty and Departmental Diversity Initiatives, where she leads departmental equity and inclusion planning efforts, directs key faculty DEIBJ programs, provides strategic consultation to campus departments and administrators, and leads a wide variety of equity and inclusion workshops and dialogues for faculty, staff and students. Her office is part of the Division of Equity & Inclusion.

As the fourth Vice Chancellor for the Division of Equity & Inclusion (E&I) at the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), and a member of Chancellor Carol Christ’s Cabinet, she guides strategies that prioritize social justice, anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
