The University of California continues to respond to the fast-moving developments surrounding COVID-19. Already, most of our locations across the state have curtailed academic and operational activity and, following the guidance of the Governor, the California Department of Public Health and the CDC, we continue to take steps to best protect our students, faculty, staff and communities.

Important changes regarding COVID-19 and campus events

Dear campus community:

As part of our ongoing effort to take proactive measures to limit the potential spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community, today we announce new changes that will remain in effect at least through March 29.

  • Campus spaces and venues will not be available for any event with 100 or more expected attendees.

  • Intercollegiate Athletics events on campus will be held without spectators.

  • Cal Performances events through March 29 will be canceled.
