Office for Graduate Diversity

The Office for Graduate Diversity provides support services for the admissions process, academic support, financial advice, and professional development, for prospective and continuing students on the Berkeley campus.

Faculty Diversity Initiatives & Resources

Each department or school at Berkeley has a Faculty Equity Advisor who helps ensure that diversity and equity are considered in all aspects of the academic mission. The advisors are appointed by the department chair or dean. As well as working within their own departments, they participate in a campuswide network to share strategies and collaborate on addressing common challenges.

The Othering & Belonging Institute, formerly the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society at UC Berkeley brings together researchers, organizers, stakeholders, communicators, and policymakers to identify and eliminate the barriers to an inclusive, just, and sustainable society in order to create transformative change.

The Chancellor's Award for Advancing Institutional Excellence and Equity is a grant presented annually to a distinguished faculty member at the University of California, Berkeley based on outstanding contributions in enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion.
