Dear E&I colleagues,
Today is my final day in the role of VCEI. I am truly grateful and honored to have worked with you for the past four years to serve the campus community. There is no greater honor or reward than serving others. And there has been no greater privilege for me than leading the Division of Equity & Inclusion. I am in awe of your commitment to serving the campus community on a constant basis, often under the most challenging of circumstances.
Our journey has not been easy, and it has been profoundly worthwhile as evidenced by the extraordinary successes that we have achieved and lives that we have impacted for the better. I am profoundly fortunate to have been a part of so many issues that matter and that have made this campus more welcoming, fair, and just. I am thrilled that we will be able to share in our upcoming impact report our work, our achievements, and our stories of service and leadership in advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. There should be no doubt that the Division of Equity & Inclusion – that you – will continue to lead the campus in its DEIB journey in the amazing ways that you have already.
I am humbled to have had the opportunity to both serve with you and serve you and I look forward to finding ways to continue to be in community with you.
