The Cal NERDS Program is comprised of a suite of programs and initiatives that provide faculty-mentored research opportunities, specialized tech training, graduate school preparation, career coaching, community building, and professional development to high achieving STEM undergraduates and graduate students.

The Disabled Students’ Program (DSP) supports students with disabilities in achieving academic success. Our staff includes disability specialists, professional development counselors, and accessibility experts that work with students with disabilities throughout their educational career. DSP serves currently enrolled UC Berkeley students with documented disabilities seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The STEM Excellence through Equity & Diversity (SEED) Scholars program provides a diverse, holistic network that prepares outstanding undergraduates to become change-makers, scholars, and leaders in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and thereby increases the representation of historically marginalized individuals in academia and other STEM professions.

Berkeley Underground Scholars (BUS) creates a pathway for incarcerated, formerly incarcerated, and system-impacted individuals into higher education. We are building a prison-to-school pipeline through recruitment, retention, and advocacy.
