The aims of the proposed Research Cluster in Disability are to: devise solutions for pressing problems related to disability; educate new generations of students and practitioners who are more fully informed on disability issues and who are committed to better understanding and meeting human needs; develop UC Berkeley's strengths and potential so that the campus can play a leading role nationally and internationally in theoretical and applied research, policy analysis, teaching, and community partnership on disability issues.
