The Campus Climate Initiative is the direct response to UC Berkeley’s campus climate survey results tasked with creating a campus where all Berkeley students, faculty, and staff feel respected, supported, and valued.

This initiative is a comprehensive effort to address the underrepresentation of African American students, faculty, and staff at our university, and improve the climate for those who are here now and all who will join our community in the future.

The taskforce has been charged with addressing the various needs of the Chicana/o and Latina/o communities on the UC Berkeley campus, including the needs of undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, alumni, and staff.

Launched in the summer of 2016, through this initiative, we will map the STEM resources across campus, identify opportunities for partnerships, and suggest new policies to support and further STEM students and research on campus.
