A campus-wide forum titled "Diversity in Action: Strengthening Excellence in our Workplace" was held on May 9, 2006 in Pauley Ballroom in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Student Union. The purpose of the forum was to launch BILD, the Berkeley Initiative for Leadership on Diversity, an initiative created to provide opportunities and develop innovative solutions on issues of staff diversity and inclusion in the workplace across the campus.
Input from forum participants was collected to be used to inform the developing, piloting and managing of programs to meet the campus' goals on diversity. There will also be additional opportunities to submit input on diversity, partnership and collaboration at all levels.
